Meet Steve


I have over 40 years of experience in the marketing research business.

  • I entered the business working for a marketing research supplier – learning how to develop questionnaires, conduct focus groups and IDI’s, write research summaries and manage projects.
  • I have built research departments in marketing agencies, learning the valuable lessons of how research results are used to create results for clients.
  • I have started and developed a healthcare practice/division in a large Minneapolis advertising agency, growing the business from one client to eight in three years.
  • And I have run my own marketing research and insights businesses for 13 years.
  • My clients have spanned many different industries, including agriculture, B2B, B2C, financial services, healthcare, non-profit and recreation.

Through it all, I’ve learned the value of great partnerships and friendships, of doing what I said I am going to do, and of always reaching to ensure that the research I am doing is making an impact for my clients.


I have been very involved in the research industry, first as President of the Minnesota Chapter of the American Marketing Association, then as Vice President of the Marketing Research Division of the American Marketing Association and serving on the Board of Directors of the American Marketing Association.


I have also been on the board of directors of a large, national advertising agency, and am currently serving on the board of a multi-national non-profit.
